Position Summary:

The Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) Specialist focusing on Operational Quality reports directly to the RCM Manager, Operational Quality. This role is pivotal in upholding the standards of auditing, quality assurance, reporting, and various components of the revenue cycle management process. Key responsibilities include aiding in the retrieval of audit requests related to the revenue cycle and executing quality control validations in accordance with RCM policies and procedures. A keen attention to detail and the capability to analyze and communicate issues effectively are essential.

This is a REMOTE position.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide auditors with necessary documentation upon request, including invoices, eligibility information, authorizations, remittance details, and audit logs.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of Client Access (authorization, eligibility), accounts receivable, and cash application to accurately develop quality assurance policies and scorecards, and assist in the quality assurance review of RCM policies and procedures as directed by leadership.
  • Collaborate closely with the Manager of Operational Quality to establish workflows, identify control gaps, and formulate remediation plans across all RCM markets.
  • Contribute to the documentation of quality assurance reviews, providing outcomes and feedback to the RCM leadership team on a monthly basis.
  • Generate reports as required.
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Self-driven, dependable, with a strong attention to detail; maintain confidentiality and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Exhibit excellent communication skills, especially in high-pressure situations; ability to function effectively as a collaborative team member.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office.

Education and Experience:

  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • One to two years of experience in revenue cycle management or billing within the healthcare sector.
