Position Summary:

We are looking for a proficient Meditech Specialist to enhance our operations. In this role, you will oversee the implementation, upkeep, and enhancement of Meditech electronic health record (EHR) modules that focus on revenue and billing within our healthcare organization. Your contributions will be vital in ensuring the smooth functioning of Meditech modules, thereby optimizing financial processes and improving revenue management.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Implementation: Spearhead the deployment of Meditech EHR modules, including Patient Accounting, Revenue Cycle Management (RCM), Health Information Management (HIM), Scheduling, General Financials, and Business and Clinical Analytics. Work closely with stakeholders to configure, customize, and integrate these modules into our healthcare IT framework.
  2. Maintenance and Support: Provide continuous support and maintenance for Meditech revenue and billing modules. Address issues, execute system upgrades, and ensure system stability and performance. Respond promptly to user inquiries and offer technical assistance as required.
  3. Optimization: Identify and pursue opportunities for process enhancement and optimization within revenue cycle operations utilizing Meditech modules. Collaborate with stakeholders to refine workflows, boost system functionality, and maximize efficiency in billing operations.
  4. Training and Documentation: Create training materials and conduct educational sessions for end-users on Meditech revenue and billing modules. Develop and maintain documentation, including user manuals, standard operating procedures, and system configurations.
  5. Compliance and Regulatory Requirements: Stay updated on healthcare regulations, coding standards, and industry best practices related to revenue cycle management. Ensure that Meditech revenue and billing modules are configured and utilized in accordance with regulatory standards.
  6. Integration and Interoperability: Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to guarantee seamless integration and interoperability between Meditech revenue and billing modules and other healthcare IT systems. Facilitate data exchange and communication to support revenue cycle operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Experience in implementing and supporting Meditech EHR software, particularly modules focused on revenue cycle management and billing.
  • Proficiency in Meditech tools and utilities for configuration, customization, and optimization.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare revenue cycle processes and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum) in healthcare IT projects.
  • Knowledge of healthcare coding standards and regulations (e.g., ICD-10, CPT).
