Job Summary:

MyCHN is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Office Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare organization, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and administrative support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Outstanding Patient Service: Deliver high-quality customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers, ensuring a positive experience and addressing any concerns or issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Manage Patient Records: Accurately and efficiently maintain patient charts, ensuring all necessary documents are up-to-date and easily accessible.
  • Coordinate Scheduling: Utilize electronic health records to schedule appointments, manage waitlists, and ensure seamless communication with patients and healthcare providers.
  • Process Financial Transactions: Collect co-payments, process insurance claims, and reconcile accounts with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Teams: Work closely with healthcare providers, nurses, and other support staff to ensure effective communication and coordination of patient care.

Requirements:

  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, with previous experience in a medical or administrative setting preferred.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in electronic health records, Microsoft Office, and other relevant software applications.
  • Physical and Environmental Demands: Ability to sit, stand, and move throughout the work environment, with occasional lifting and moving of up to 50 pounds.
