Position Overview:
Zurich's Risk Engineering Property East Team is on the lookout for a skilled Account Engineer with extensive experience in large property highly protected risk (HPR). This position is primarily focused on account engineering responsibilities and offers the flexibility of remote work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate the complexity of risks in accordance with established standards and competency levels, while assessing potential losses based on agreed definitions.
  • Assist external clients by identifying and mitigating risks on both individual and overall account levels.
  • Deliver expert risk improvement recommendations, conduct thorough loss investigations, and implement effective risk enhancement programs.
  • Share specialized knowledge with colleagues and business partners through training sessions or participation in Centers of Expertise.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards regarding the technical quality of policies and procedures.
  • Proactively address customer needs by providing expert solutions and training to key clients.
  • Contribute to business profitability by identifying opportunities for cross-selling.
  • Foster and maintain positive relationships with customers and business partners, collaborating to develop tailored service plans.
  • Resolve technical challenges and manage projects in line with established policies and procedures.
Position Levels:
This role may be filled at either the Senior Risk Engineering Consultant or Risk Engineering Specialist level, depending on the applicant's qualifications and experience.

Required Qualifications:
Senior Risk Engineering Consultant:
  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 6 years of experience in Risk Engineering
OR
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent with at least 8 years of experience in Risk Engineering
OR
  • Zurich Certified Apprentice with an associate degree and 6 years of experience in Risk Engineering
AND
  • Experience in a collaborative team environment
OR

Risk Engineering Specialist:
  • Bachelor's Degree with 8 or more years of experience in Risk EngineeringOR
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent with 10 or more years of experience in Risk EngineeringOR
  • Zurich Certified Apprentice with an associate degree and 8 years of experience in Risk EngineeringAND
  • Knowledge of risk exposures, controls, and best practices for risk improvement
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • In-depth knowledge of exposure controls
  • Expertise within the relevant industry segment
  • Certification in Risk Engineering specialty
