Position Overview

As an Affordable Housing Property Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the management of residential properties, ensuring operational efficiency and resident satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Oversight:

  • Monitor rent collections, assess collection losses, and analyze vacancy reports.
  • Utilize both automated and manual reporting systems to track financial performance.
  • Assist in the preparation and management of the annual budget, providing insights through monthly financial reports.

Resident Relations:

  • Process resident transfer requests and ensure proper handling of lease terminations and grievance hearings.
  • Engage with residents and community organizations to gather feedback on housing programs and address any concerns.
  • Coordinate with service providers to ensure residents have access to necessary services.

Staff Management:

  • Supervise property management and maintenance teams, conducting regular performance evaluations.
  • Facilitate training programs for new hires and ongoing training for existing staff.
  • Manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage across properties.

Property Maintenance:

  • Field maintenance requests and ensure timely dispatch of maintenance personnel.
  • Conduct property inspections and follow up on completed work orders.
  • Oversee move-in and move-out processes to maintain property standards.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of five years of experience in property management, particularly in affordable housing.
  • In-depth knowledge of management policies, HUD regulations, and Fair Housing Laws.
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to travel locally for job-related duties.
