Position Overview:
Zurich's Risk Engineering Property East Team is on the lookout for a skilled Account Engineer with extensive experience in large property highly protected risk (HPR). This position is designed for remote work, catering to candidates located in various regions. The role entails approximately 20% travel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate the complexity of risks as outlined in the relevant standards and competency levels, while assessing potential losses based on established definitions.
  • Assist external clients by identifying and mitigating risks on both individual and overall account levels.
  • Offer valuable risk enhancement recommendations, conduct thorough loss investigations (including trend and root cause analysis), and implement effective risk improvement initiatives.
  • Share technical knowledge with colleagues, business partners, and clients through training sessions or participation in a Centre of Expertise or industry segment.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards regarding the technical quality of policies and procedures.
  • Proactively address customer needs by delivering expert solutions and training to key clients.
  • Contribute to business profitability by identifying opportunities and facilitating cross-selling.
  • Foster and maintain positive relationships with clients and business partners, collaborating to develop tailored service plans.
  • Resolve technical challenges, issues, and projects in alignment with policies and procedures within a specific function or unit.

Position Levels:
This role may be filled at either the Senior Risk Engineering Consultant or Risk Engineering Specialist level, depending on the selected candidate's experience and qualifications.

Required Qualifications:
Senior Risk Engineering Consultant:
  • Bachelor's Degree with 6+ years of experience in Risk Engineering
OR
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent with 8+ years of experience in Risk Engineering
OR
  • Zurich Certified Apprentice with an associate degree and 6+ years of experience in Risk Engineering
AND
  • Experience in a collaborative team environment
OR

Risk Engineering Specialist:
  • Bachelor's Degree with 8+ years of experience in Risk Engineering
  • OR
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent with 10+ years of experience in Risk Engineering
  • OR
  • Zurich Certified Apprentice with an associate degree and 8+ years of experience in Risk Engineering
  • AND
  • Knowledge of exposures, controls, and best practices in risk improvement

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office
  • In-depth knowledge of exposure controls
  • Expertise within the industry segment
  • Certification in Risk Engineering specialty
