Your Role:The anesthesia technician provides essential support to Anesthesiologists and Nurse Anesthetists.

This position collaborates with the anesthesia and surgical teams to ensure safe and effective patient care in the surgical environment.

Competency in all procedures within the Scope of Practice is expected, appropriate to the ages of patients served:

geriatric, adult, adolescent, and pediatric.
Your Contribution to the Team:+ Engages in direct patient care in a supportive capacity as directed by the licensed nurse or anesthesiologist.

Assists anesthesia providers with clinical tasks as needed, including supervised help with patient positioning for procedures.+ Maintains adequate levels of anesthesia supplies in anesthetizing areas and the anesthesia workroom.

Communicates with anesthesia providers and surgical services management regarding any supply shortages.

Coordinates the evaluation of new equipment and supplies with anesthesia providers.+ Anticipates and prepares sterile and non-sterile supplies and equipment for each scheduled procedure within the scope of competency.+ Demonstrates proficient knowledge of both technical and non-technical equipment and supplies used in anesthesia services.


Qualifications for Success:
Minimum Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • One year of experience as an EMT, CNA, or PCT required.
    Preferred Qualifications: Experience as an Anesthesia Technician or as a Certified Nursing Assistant/PCT in an operating room or similar environment.
