Your Role:

The MRI Imaging Specialist operates under the general oversight of the lead technologist, manager, director, and radiologist. Key responsibilities include performing neuro and body scans on patients across all age groups, adhering to the age-specific guidelines of AHDC/AHZ parameters, transmitting images for diagnostic evaluation, and maintaining the hospital's computer system with the status of these examinations. The MRI Imaging Specialist actively engages in exceptional customer service and upholds respectful relationships with all individuals, while implementing the principles of AdventHealth Dade City/AdventHealth Zephyrhills.

Your Contributions:

· Conducts all imaging procedures following AHDC/AHZ MRI protocols. Ensures proper patient identification prior to exams and educates patients and families throughout the process.

· Completes examinations efficiently, maintaining workflow and minimizing idle time. Communicates effectively post-exam regarding patient transportation and discharge.

· Operates all imaging equipment safely and competently, including scanners, injectors, and monitors. Demonstrates the ability to perform scans on patients of varying ages, adjusting protocols as necessary.

· Screens each patient, visitor, and employee entering the MRI facility for any contraindications for magnet room admission. Maintains a well-stocked, organized, and clean environment. Conducts quality assurance on magnets in accordance with ACR guidelines.

· Reviews all images from examinations, repeating sequences as needed to ensure optimal results.

Qualifications:

Essential Skills and Experience:

· Associate's degree or higher from an AMA-accredited School of Radiologic Technology

· Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT – R, MR)

· Florida State License as a General Radiographer

· Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
