Library Sales Representative, Central US

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Representative to join our team at Backstage Library Works. As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with academic libraries in the Central US region.
Key Responsibilities- Create and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets
- Manage the sales cycle from initial contact to contract signing
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through networking and prospecting
- Present product solutions to prospective clients and communicate with the product team to solidify project needs
- Provide exceptional customer service and support to enhance customer satisfaction
- Respond to Requests for Information and Requests for Proposal with persuasive product solutions and pricing
- Identify and champion project initiatives across company groups
- Communicate regularly with clients to understand their needs and provide solutions
- Represent Backstage Library Works at industry conferences and events
- Negotiate agreements and maintain accurate sales records in Salesforce
- 2+ years of experience in sales, preferably in the library industry
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Knowledge of market research, sales, and negotiating principles
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office and CRM software (e.g., Salesforce)
- MLIS, BSc, or BA in business administration, sales, or marketing
- Competitive base salary: $47,840 to $65,312, depending on experience
- Commission: $11,000 at target + special incentives (SPIFs)
