Hyatt seeks an enthusiastic Central Sales Strategy Manager to join our growing Central Sales Management department, who will focus on establishing and executing a sales strategy for a portfolio of Select Service hotels. This candidate will also coordinate the execution of multiple sales services at a hotel to drive performance. The Role


The Central Sales Strategy Manager role requires someone who has demonstrated through performance a thorough understanding and competence in both Group & Transient strategy, Hyatt systems, and the hotel/business travel industry.

The Central Sales Strategy Manager will be responsible for leading market and account research to evaluate a hotel's strengths and opportunities, while also executing business development techniques to grow market share across Group & Transient accounts.

The Central Sales Strategy Manager will coordinate a team of centralized personnel to deliver strong performance across all sales functions at each hotel.

The Central Sales Strategy Manager must be able to coach team members to ensure high performance. This person will be responsible for leading a team and influencing on-property and above-property leadership. This candidate will assist in designing and implementing the Central Strategy Manager function within the greater Central Sales Organization.

The Central Sales Strategy Manager will have thorough experience with professional selling skills: opening, probing, supporting, and closing. Must possess exceptional negotiating skills.

Must be proficient in general computer knowledge and able to train and monitor the process of sending referrals, setting traces, and profiling accounts.

Communication and organizational skills are of utmost importance for this position.

Qualifications

Experience Required:

  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
  • Refined verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organization and presentation skills
  • Must be able to work independently and simultaneously manage multiple tasks
  • Must be outgoing and a proven self-starter
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of hotel sales or comparable experience preferred
  • Must be proficient in general computer knowledge, Envision, Opera, and Cvent
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint and be capable of creating documents, working charts, and spreadsheets.
Experience Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Previous Hyatt Sales experience
  • Previous managerial experience
  • Previous Select Service Director of Sales experience
