Position Overview:

The Vibrant Life Director is tasked with the comprehensive organization, planning, and management of the Vibrant Life Department's operations. This role is essential in ensuring that a diverse range of activities is available to promote the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of residents. The Director will also create wellness initiatives for families and facilitate staff training sessions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster a lively social environment within the community, encouraging resident and family involvement through a variety of scheduled events and programs.
  • Plan and oversee special events and activities for significant holidays.
  • Ensure that all activities respect and reflect the cultural, religious, and ethnic backgrounds of residents and their families.
  • Promote resident engagement in all Vibrant Life initiatives.
  • Actively participate in leading activities for a minimum of ten hours each week.
  • Recruit, assess, and supervise department staff, providing guidance and performance evaluations in line with company standards.
  • Monitor departmental budget compliance through timely financial reporting.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies regarding financial transactions.
  • Accurately process vendor and entertainer payments, including necessary documentation.
  • Organize and conduct staff training sessions as required.
  • Coordinate transportation logistics for residents attending Vibrant Life events.
  • Possess the necessary qualifications and willingness to operate the community van.
  • Stay informed about senior activity trends through ongoing education and networking.
  • Assist the Executive Director in community outreach and marketing efforts.
  • Develop and manage programs for welcoming new residents and celebrating resident birthdays.
  • Oversee community volunteers, ensuring all documentation is maintained.
  • Facilitate monthly Resident Council Meetings.
  • Perform all clerical duties associated with the position, including maintaining the Monthly Activity Calendar.
  • Support the setup of special events.
  • Engage in community marketing through tours and events.
  • Arrange for coverage of responsibilities during staff absences.
  • Participate in daily meetings to address key operational issues.
  • Maintain all required certifications and licenses.
  • Encourage a collaborative team environment.
  • Uphold a professional image through appropriate conduct and attire.
  • Ensure a safe environment for all staff, residents, and visitors.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Executive Director.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum age of 21 years due to driving responsibilities.
  • At least one year of experience in organizing group activities and assessing resident needs.
  • Preferred educational background includes a college degree.
