Alpha Baking Company, Inc. is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety in our facilities. We are seeking a skilled Sanitation Supervisor to ensure our operations meet stringent sanitation protocols.

Position Summary:

The Sanitation Supervisor is essential in upholding a pristine work environment, directing sanitation processes, and ensuring adherence to established policies. This role encompasses managing sanitation personnel, executing facility audits, and collaborating with various departments to enhance operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee sanitation activities by delegating tasks to the team and monitoring workflow efficiency.
  • Manage inventory of sanitation supplies to maintain sufficient stock levels.
  • Foster the development of sanitation staff through effective communication, assessment, coaching, and oversight.
  • Work in conjunction with pest control services to address and prevent pest issues.
  • Implement sanitation programs and policies, conducting regular facility audits.
  • Contribute to the creation of processes aimed at reducing product safety risks.
  • Provide assistance to other departments as required.

Additional Duties:

  • Conduct all professional interactions with courtesy and respect.
  • Exhibit proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
  • Learn and apply sanitation software and programs.
  • Identify areas for improvement and suggest cost-saving measures for the facility.
  • Support and execute new project initiatives and designs.
  • Participate in workshops to enhance professional knowledge.
  • Adapt to a flexible work schedule as necessary.
  • Perform other assigned duties and projects.

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Capability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods.
  • Frequent use of a personal computer and typing.
  • Regular handling of sanitation chemicals.

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED is mandatory.
  • Current or future certification in AIB or a similar program and HACCP is required.

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience in sanitation and/or food manufacturing with increasing responsibilities.
  • Preferred supervisory experience within the department.
