Job Overview

The Sanitation Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the activities of the Sanitation team, providing mentorship and direction to ensure optimal performance. This role involves working closely with team members to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute standard sanitation procedures to support production operations, including waste removal, equipment sanitization, and maintaining cleanliness in all areas.
  • Guide team members in adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Assist the production team by preparing the workspace for subsequent shifts.
  • Collaborate with departments such as Quality Assurance and Production to address and resolve sanitation-related issues.
  • Follow instructions from management and complete tasks with minimal oversight.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and sanitation protocols.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized work environment while adhering to safety standards.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on sanitation equipment to ensure proper functionality.
  • Report any sanitation concerns related to food safety to the immediate supervisor.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to foster teamwork among a diverse group of employees.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Google Sheets is advantageous.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while meeting deadlines.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing procedures and programs.
  • Experience in food manufacturing is preferred.

Work Environment: The role is situated in a manufacturing and assembly setting, where employees may be exposed to cool temperatures, airborne particles, and mechanical equipment. The noise level can be elevated.

Physical Requirements: Employees must be able to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift for extended periods, typically 8 hours or more. The position requires the use of hands for handling tools and objects, as well as the ability to communicate effectively. Regular lifting of up to 25 pounds and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds is necessary. Vision requirements include close and peripheral vision.

Position Type: This is a full-time role with varying shifts, including potential overtime based on operational demands. The Sanitation Supervisor is expected to fulfill the necessary hours to complete daily tasks.
