Job Description:

The Sanitation Operations Supervisor role at the Chicago facility is essential in overseeing sanitation initiatives, driving and supporting key projects to enhance performance throughout the plant. Your contributions will include, but are not limited to:
  • Upholding all company policies and plant regulations, including problem-solving, developing & implementing standard operating procedures, while maintaining a collaborative relationship with the union in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement.
  • Proposing improvements to sanitation practices, equipment efficiency, product quality, and workplace safety.
  • Implementing measurable performance standards for facility sanitation and periodic cleaning.
  • Addressing personnel issues by analyzing data, investigating concerns, identifying solutions, and recommending actions, which may include administering discipline, corrective measures, and coaching as necessary.
  • Facilitating sanitation through the creation of daily schedules, labor allocation, and adjustments based on resources while supervising janitorial staff.
Important Details: This is a full-time on-site role supporting 3rd shift plant sanitation needs, with some schedule flexibility required as necessary.

About You:

You will thrive in this role if you possess:
  • In-depth knowledge of Master Sanitation schedules, pest management, sanitation effectiveness, and environmental monitoring.
  • Basic understanding of microbiological organisms and their influence on sanitary design.
  • Strong communication skills across all levels of management.
  • Previous supervisory experience, particularly in a manufacturing setting - sanitation in food manufacturing is advantageous.
