This position is integral to the Test & Flight Operations team, offering centralized support to various Business Units with an emphasis on the design, construction, and upkeep of ground systems and launch facilities across multiple sites.

You will engage in the formulation and execution of engineering methodologies for Test and Flight Operations systems. We are in search of a seasoned professional with outstanding communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills who can excel in a dynamic environment. Your primary responsibility will be to implement and manage the comprehensive engineering processes for the integrated ground systems utilized by Blue Origin's product lines, ensuring alignment with corporate policies. In this hands-on role, you will strive to enhance the program's speed and efficiency by facilitating timely delivery, quality assurance, and data transparency to support program activities and business systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and refine engineering and program lifecycle management policies, procedures, and standards for Test and Flight Operations systems.
  • Lead initiatives in Process Modeling, Measurement, Problem-solving, Root Cause Analysis, Non-Manufacturing Process Design, and Risk Management.
  • Identify and enact system and process enhancements to boost efficiency and quality.
  • Develop reliable, effective, and predictable systems through process stabilization.
  • Focus areas include Process Analysis, Improvement, Execution Planning, and Operations Planning.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of experience in process development.
  • 7+ years of experience in a highly regulated industry (automotive, medical device, aerospace, etc.).
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent technical experience.
  • Proficient in product lifecycle management (PLM).
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms with all organizational levels and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, customers, and suppliers.
  • Exceptional technical writing and presentation capabilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with export control regulations (EAR/ITAR).
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in the aerospace sector.
  • Master's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Experience with requirements development/management tools such as DOORS.
  • Experience with PLM and/or data management tools like Windchill.
  • Familiarity with collaboration tools such as Confluence and JIRA.
  • Adept at working with partially defined requirements and evolving criteria.
  • Database management skills.
