Job Overview

Idaho National Laboratory is seeking a Relocation Design Specialist to contribute to our Campus Development Office. This role operates on a 9x80 schedule, providing a balanced work-life dynamic with every other Friday off. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating layouts for office and laboratory spaces in relation to employee relocations and modifications across various campuses. You will report directly to the Campus Development Office manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess spatial requirements by collaborating with employees, managers, and senior leadership to gather necessary information for space requests, including coordination with additional services.
  • Identify new office configuration needs, ensuring compliance with INL Space Standards, ADA regulations, and safety protocols.
  • Produce designs, schematics, cost estimates, and timelines for new space configurations or alterations to existing areas.
  • Coordinate with clients and other services to establish schedules for project execution.
  • Work closely with the Space Management Program Manager and ensure alignment with other program leads within the Infrastructure Planning Division, including Real Property Management, Leasing, and Campus Master Planning, to ensure larger relocation requests are integrated into the overall real estate strategy.
  • Develop solutions to a variety of challenges based on established policies or historical practices.
  • Ensure that changes to space configurations are communicated to Drafting for updates to floor plans and iMap.
  • Complete and maintain all required qualifications and training for assigned responsibilities.
Qualifications:Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree with two years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree.
  • Proficient in collecting accurate room measurements and furniture layouts, with the ability to create representative sketches using Visio or AutoCAD.
  • Experience with Excel, including basic formulas, and familiarity with developing general cost estimates.
Compensation and Benefits:
  • The salary range for this position is: Level 2 ($54,876 - $107,064) / Level 3 ($63,528 - $130,284). Compensation is determined based on education, relevant experience, and other credentials.
