Role Overview: The Director of Project Management will report directly to the CFO and collaborate closely with various departments across the organization. This role is crucial in providing strategic leadership and expertise to oversee project timelines, interdependencies, and resource allocation for all significant initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee project management timelines in partnership with colleagues and the leadership team.
  • Facilitate the planning of strategies and objectives for clinical programs/projects, ensuring alignment across all organizational levels.
  • Support cross-functional teams in defining and managing deliverables and timelines, while also facilitating decision-making processes.
  • Maintain integrated project timelines and risk registers, ensuring effective communication of project status to stakeholders.
  • Independently identify and resolve challenges faced by project teams, driving scenario planning for strategic decision-making.
  • Adjust project work plans to accommodate changes in objectives and communicate these changes effectively.
  • Collaborate with project teams to establish budget assumptions for the annual operating plan.
  • Exhibit strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment in evaluating complex situations.
  • Stay informed about current therapeutic landscapes and drug development trends.
  • Represent the company in professional organizations and public forums, integrating scientific and business goals to enhance program success.

Candidate Profile:

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a BA/BS in a scientific field is required; an advanced degree in drug development is preferred.
  • Project Management certification is desirable.
  • At least 7 years of experience in the Pharmaceutical or Medical Products industry, with a strong preference for experience in biologics-based drug development.
  • A minimum of 4 years of formal project management experience is essential.
  • Experience managing interdisciplinary teams through late-stage clinical and regulatory projects is required.
  • Understanding of FDA regulatory processes and experience with regulatory filings is highly desired.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in MS Office, SharePoint, and project management software, are necessary.
  • Proven ability to set goals, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
  • Strong leadership, teamwork, and negotiation skills are essential.
  • Ability to work independently in a hybrid-remote environment.

Compensation and Benefits: The anticipated base salary for the Director of Project Management role ranges from $210,000 to $225,000, depending on the candidate's qualifications and geographical location. This position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus based on individual and company performance. Qualifying employees may participate in benefit programs, including health insurance, holiday pay, and educational assistance.
