Senior IT Infrastructure Project Coordinator

Key Qualifications for Consideration:

1. Proven expertise in overseeing extensive and intricate IT infrastructure initiatives, including but not limited to wired and wireless networking, telecommunication systems, audiovisual setups, cabling frameworks, and cellular networks, ideally within the context of new construction or renovation projects involving diverse stakeholders.

2. Strong capability to maintain a holistic perspective, proactively guide and mentor project teams, enhance operational processes, manage financial resources effectively, identify escalation points for issues, and consistently produce actionable project documentation to drive progress.

3. Commitment to adopting best practices in project management and the ability to communicate updates effectively to executive stakeholders.

We seek a candidate with exceptional interpersonal and leadership abilities, along with a track record in managing the deployment of IT infrastructure solutions, particularly in new developments or renovation scenarios. The ideal candidate will excel in navigating complex and dynamic environments and will demonstrate a collaborative spirit.

Required Certifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or completion of a Project Management Certificate program, or in the process of obtaining.
  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification or in the process of obtaining is preferred.
  • ITIL Certification is a plus.

Core Responsibilities:

Project Management (90% of Role)

  • Oversee the complete project management lifecycle: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure. Independently manage projects that require significant functional integration and coordination across multiple disciplines.
  • Develop actionable plans and estimate resource needs, including management, labor, materials, and timelines for project completion.
  • Facilitate discussions and negotiations to achieve consensus and recommendations.
  • Design and implement a comprehensive change management strategy and communication plan tailored to project scope and stakeholders; lead methodologies that are critical to project success.
  • Responsibilities encompass, but are not limited to: project charter development; scope identification and definition; stakeholder management across various levels, including local government entities; risk management and reporting for complex projects impacting broader divisions or programs; synthesizing intricate technical data to inform decision-making.
  • Adapt to the tools, methodologies, and practices utilized by the UIT PMO.

PMO Process, Methodology, and Tools (10% of Role)

  • Support the administration of the UIT PMO project intake process, including project qualification coordination and demand management, resource planning, and evaluating resource limitations.
  • Contribute to PPM/PMO process enhancement initiatives as outlined in the PMO roadmap.
