About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Kitchen Supervisor to join our team at Pali Wine Company, LP. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our kitchen, ensuring that our high standards of quality and service are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Cost Management: Maintain food cost at or below budget by effectively managing inventory, ordering supplies, and implementing cost-saving measures.
  • Culinary Operations: Ensure that all culinary activities are executed efficiently and effectively, including food preparation, presentation, and service.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of cooks and kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure that they are meeting their responsibilities and contributing to the success of the kitchen.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that all food products meet our high standards of quality and safety.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records, including tracking of food and supplies, and ensure that all inventory is properly stored and rotated.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and in good working order, including regular cleaning and preventive maintenance.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure that all health and safety protocols are followed, including proper food handling and storage procedures, and that all staff are aware of and comply with these protocols.
  • Menu Development: Collaborate with the General Manager to develop and implement new menu items and specials, ensuring that they are aligned with our company's culinary vision and goals.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Ensure that all customers receive exceptional service and that their needs are met in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements
  • Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Food and Wine Knowledge: Prior experience in the food and wine industry is preferred.
  • Management Experience: Prior management experience is required.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work weekends, holidays, evenings, and adapt to a flexible schedule.
  • Certifications: Food Handler's Certification is required.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift, carry, and/or transport 40 pounds (a case of wine) is necessary.
