Position Summary

The Fundraising Support Specialist will play a vital role in assisting the fundraising team at Mission Edge. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of nonprofit fundraising within a dynamic and mission-driven environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Identify potential sources of funding from individual donors, foundations, and corporations.
  • Contribute creative ideas for innovative fundraising approaches.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements, conference calls, and logistical support for donors.
  • Prepare project reports for individual donors, compile, copy, and mail documents to board members and donors.
  • Attend team meetings and staff gatherings, responding promptly to donor inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate donor records and assist with prospect research using databases.
  • Conduct research and write/edit compelling reports on Mission Edge programs for publication.
  • Provide support in the preparation of proposals and project plans.

Qualifications/Skills

  • Enrolled as a junior or above in a collegiate program.
  • Demonstrated interest in fundraising and nonprofit development.
  • Strong research, writing, and editing skills.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite (Drive, Calendar, Docs, etc.).
  • Database experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Powerpoint, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, or Illustrator is beneficial.

Compensation Statement

The pay rate for this position is $17.50 per hour.
