Job Summary and Qualifications

CLINICAL NURSE COORDINATOR REGISTERED NURSE – PEDIATRIC INTENSIVE CARE UNIT – FULL-TIME NIGHT SHIFT 7P – 7A

Our Pediatric ICU is dedicated to providing exceptional care for children requiring advanced medical attention.

As a Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC), you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality, patient-focused care and managing all unit functions during your shift.

In collaboration with the management team, you will oversee nursing care in line with established protocols, serve as a resource for staff, and embody the organization's mission and values to enhance patient experiences and clinical outcomes.


Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate admission and discharge processes to optimize patient flow and care quality.
- Engage in continuous assessment of care quality in partnership with management.
- Collaborate with experts and managers to foster teamwork and improve outcomes.
- Uphold a patient-centered philosophy and engage in service recovery as needed.
- Support initiatives to enhance staff engagement and operational efficiency.
- Participate in the recruitment, training, and development of new staff.
- Assist with staff scheduling and manage labor resources in accordance with patient needs.
- Oversee inventory control and assist in managing supplies and equipment.
Qualifications:
- BSN required; MSN preferred.
- Valid Texas RN license or compact license accepted.
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required.
- Minimum of two years of recent PICU RN experience in an acute care setting.
