Position Overview:

Reporting directly to the Property Manager, the Facilities Maintenance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of various building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and painting. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assessing facilities to identify necessary maintenance or repairs.
  • Planning work assignments and project timelines based on building system evaluations.
  • Recruiting and training staff within the maintenance department.
  • Coordinating and supervising the schedules and tasks of maintenance personnel.
  • Conducting timely and constructive performance evaluations.
  • Managing employee discipline in accordance with company policies.
  • Developing maintenance protocols and schedules.
  • Ensuring that maintenance and repair tasks are executed accurately and promptly.
  • Assisting in preparing departmental budget estimates and evaluating repair project costs.
  • Performing additional related duties as assigned.

We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience is required, with prior supervisory experience preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of building systems, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.
  • Proficiency in drywall, plaster, painting, and carpentry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Capability to identify issues, determine necessary repairs, and establish maintenance schedules.
  • Excellent management and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • General understanding of safety regulations and practices.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Possession of personal tools is required.
