Position Overview:

The primary goal of this role is to deliver an exceptional Guest Service experience by actively engaging with guests and ensuring they receive outstanding hospitality and professional assistance.

Key Duties:

  • Arriving for scheduled shifts punctually and consistently, demonstrating clear communication and the physical capability to perform assigned tasks safely.
  • Driving sales through engaging conversations with guests, offering product suggestions, and discussing current promotions and services.
  • Delivering exceptional service by welcoming guests and providing information about special features and product locations across all departments.
  • Understanding and executing various tasks, including issuing ski tickets, state park passes, and utility payments.
  • Safely operating necessary equipment used in the Guest Service Department.
  • Accurately communicating guest requests and special orders.
  • Mentoring new associates and fostering a positive learning atmosphere.
  • Striving to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Adhering to all local, state, federal, and company regulations regarding safety, sanitation, and guest services.
  • Actively participating in the Guest Service Department's safety initiatives.

Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to fulfill essential duties effectively.

Education and Experience:

A high school diploma or GED; or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Capable of writing simple correspondence and communicating effectively with guests, vendors, and colleagues.

Mathematical Skills:

Proficient in performing mathematical calculations using American currency and measurements.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions provided in written or oral form and manage problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.

Certificates & Licenses:

Must meet state requirements to sell tobacco and/or alcohol. A valid Driver's License or State I.D. Card is required.

Physical Demands:

This position requires physical effort, including standing for extended periods, walking, and lifting various weights. Associates must adhere to safety standards and report any accidents promptly.

Work Environment:

While performing duties, associates may encounter moving mechanical parts and varying noise levels. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
