Position Summary:

We are in search of a skilled Cloud Infrastructure Specialist to navigate our rapidly evolving cloud landscape. The ideal candidate will be self-driven, detail-oriented, and possess a strong passion for cybersecurity, with a proven track record in securing diverse cloud environments, including AWS, Azure, and hybrid architectures.

The Cloud Infrastructure Specialist will collaborate with a team of cybersecurity professionals, engaging in various cybersecurity disciplines such as network engineering, security operations, and compliance to support a government agency's cybersecurity initiatives.

In this pivotal role, you will be at the forefront of providing advanced cyber defense operations and security engineering support, including the development of sophisticated analytics and countermeasures to protect critical assets from potential threats.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a subject matter expert with extensive knowledge in areas such as information security, cloud security, systems engineering, and network security.
  • Demonstrate hands-on technical expertise with Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services.
  • Provide in-depth technical analysis and guidance on complex applications and operational environments.
  • Engage in all phases of system and software development, focusing on planning, analysis, security, testing, and integration.
  • Apply advanced principles and methods to address challenging technical problems in engineering and scientific applications.
  • Enhance the agency's security posture while optimizing mission capabilities and reducing operational costs through cloud technology adoption.
  • Conduct assessments of cloud-based systems to support the authorization process.
  • Perform independent evaluations of cloud services to ensure compliance with federal security standards.
  • Execute security assessments using established testing frameworks for cloud services.
Qualifications:
  • Active cloud security certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, CCSP).
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in Information Technology with a focus on Cloud Technologies.
  • Understanding of both Azure and AWS environments.
  • Able to communicate complex cloud system nuances to diverse audiences.
