Position Summary

We are looking for a driven Strategic Growth Specialist to significantly contribute to the expansion of our organization by exploring new avenues, building and nurturing robust partnerships, and enhancing our footprint with international allies. This role will involve direct collaboration with our Director of International.

Key Responsibilities
  • Opportunity Identification and Engagement: Proactively seek out and connect with influential stakeholders and decision-makers within the defense and maritime sectors and relevant agencies to elevate awareness and stimulate demand for our Autonomous Surface Vessels (ASVs). Evaluate and prioritize various opportunities that emerge as tenders, innovation contracts, or unsolicited proposals.
  • Sales Enablement and Pipeline Management: Assist our sales team by strengthening our sales pipeline, overseeing opportunity tracking, and ensuring prompt follow-up with potential clients. Develop persuasive sales materials, presentations, and promotional content tailored for the defense and maritime industries. Prepare responses and proposals based on senior-level engagement.
  • Networking and Relationship Development: Identify, assess, cultivate, and sustain strong connections with both new and existing clients, partners, and industry influencers. Represent our organization at defense, maritime, and technology events, building a robust network and uncovering potential business opportunities.
  • Proposal Crafting and Contract Discussions: Collaborate with internal teams to create compelling, customized proposals and presentations that address the specific needs of our clients. Engage in contract discussions, ensuring alignment with our strategic objectives and adherence to industry standards.
  • Market Insights and Competitive Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to pinpoint potential clients, evaluate competitors, and grasp emerging trends within the autonomous surface vessel sector. Utilize market insights to guide strategic decision-making and enhance our business development efforts.
Required Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Law, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or a comparable role, preferably within the defense, maritime, and technology fields.
  • Strong comprehension of autonomous systems, maritime technology, and defense procurement processes.
  • Innovative thinking and resourcefulness in proposing creative solutions to complex challenges.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capacity to work autonomously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to travel to fulfill business objectives and client requirements, accommodating communications across various time zones.
