Utility Coordination Project Manager

BGE, Inc. is seeking a Utility Coordination Project Manager (P.E.) to join our Transportation Systems Department. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage utility coordination and engineering projects.
  • Oversee Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) initiatives and ensure effective utility coordination.
  • Review and prepare existing SUE utility plans.
  • Conduct quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) assessments of field data and project deliverables.
  • Facilitate meetings, prepare agreements, and evaluate design plans and specifications.
  • Design and assess utility relocation plans to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficient in designing and reviewing utility relocation plans in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Familiarity with TXDOT's Utility Accommodation Rules, Utility Manual, Roadway Design Manual, and TMUTCD.
  • Knowledge of CRF 645 Subparts A & B and AREMA standards.

Essential Requirements:

  • Licensed Texas Professional Engineer (PE).
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in MicroStation and MS Office; knowledge of Geopak is advantageous.
  • Strong communication, scheduling, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate with various utility owners and stakeholders.
  • Experience in training and mentoring junior engineering staff.
