I am collaborating with a reputable Electrical Contracting firm that is actively seeking qualified candidates for a Project Engineer role. This position serves as an Assistant Project Manager, with the intention of developing the selected candidate into a Project Manager within the organization. Ideal candidates may possess a background in Engineering (Electrical or Architectural), Electrical Design, or relevant field experience (such as Electrician, Foreman, or Superintendent). A solid understanding of the construction sector, particularly in commercial and industrial general contracting, is essential. Additionally, candidates holding a Construction Management Degree will be taken into consideration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Offer technical and on-site assistance to the Project Manager and Project Superintendent.
- Prepare and manage change orders, maintaining an organized database.
- Support the development of project timelines.
- Act as a point of contact for general contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers, ensuring effective communication and correspondence.
- Generate and oversee contracts with subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants.
- Collect and manage Requests for Information (RFIs) and submittals, maintaining a systematic database.
- Assist in processing purchase orders and ordering materials and supplies.
- Help address permitting issues as required.
- Document minutes from jobsite meetings.
- Contribute to the preparation of project closeout documentation.

- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Clear and articulate speaking skills, with proper grammar usage.
- Exceptional customer service orientation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with preferred experience in construction project management software.
