The role of the Software Development Project Manager is crucial for ensuring efficient, reliable, and successful project execution. This position involves planning, coordinating, and overseeing projects that have a significant scope and complexity. The Project Manager will collaborate with essential business stakeholders to facilitate a successful initiation and completion of projects, which may involve multiple business units or functional areas. This role requires a high level of autonomy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guarantee consistent and successful project outcomes.
- Provide a comprehensive overview of the project to all stakeholders.
- Engage proactively in project planning activities, including but not limited to: defining project scope; creating and maintaining a detailed timeline/schedule with major milestones; identifying and communicating project dependencies; and implementing control mechanisms for ongoing project management.
- Oversee the integrity of the program and implement measures to maintain it.
- Establish project governance, detailing roles, responsibilities, decision-making authority, and escalation procedures.
- Define success criteria at the outset to ensure alignment and actively manage towards expected project results.
- Maintain engagement with all stakeholders, ensuring alignment on project objectives and keeping them informed throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide leadership and essential information to stakeholders for effective decision-making.
- Act as a liaison with clients and third parties, ensuring clarity and understanding of key dependencies.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
- Over 10 years of experience in project management or related consulting roles.
- Proficient in project management methodologies and processes, as well as project lifecycles.
- Experience in managing large-scale projects within an organization.
- Familiarity with matrix management of cross-functional teams and processes.
- Possesses key skills such as:

- Problem-Solving Skills

Preferred Qualifications:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
- Experience in the banking, financial services, or software sectors is advantageous.
- Familiarity with project management tools is beneficial.
