About the Job

Marcus Evans is a global business intelligence and event marketing company with a strong presence in multiple countries. As a Business Development Representative, you will play a key role in helping companies better their business through corporate meetings with targeted customers at exclusive events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Track down top providers within your industry space to find the perfect fit for our clients.
  • Sell to senior-level executives by learning about their growth goals and converting that intelligence into business opportunities.
  • Work with new and existing clients, negotiate working relationships with C-suite decision makers, and act on behalf of the company and our clients in the delivery of our exceptional products and services.
  • Build and maintain a robust prospecting pool, contacting, qualifying, and engaging prospects through email, LinkedIn, and cold calling.
  • Negotiate and close contracts with C-level decision makers by learning about their growth goals and converting that intelligence into business opportunities.
  • Keep an organized record of sales activity and pipeline, working with new and existing clients, and traveling to destination cities nationwide to attend events and tend to clients.

Requirements

  • Positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • The confidence to go head-to-head with the best and brightest industry leaders along with the humility to know that there's always more to learn.
  • Basic understanding of sales principles and willingness to tackle prospecting and sales goals every day.
  • Self-starter mentality with good work ethic and a positive can-do attitude.
