We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Placement Coordinator RN to join our team at Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center & Children's Hospital. As a key member of our nursing administration team, you will play a critical role in facilitating the efficient placement of patients within our urban hospitals.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with Administrative Supervisors and Resource Coordinators to ensure timely placement of admissions and inter-facility transfers.
- Monitor information systems to ensure accurate and timely completion of processes, and take corrective action as needed.
- Support the departmental operations by assessing resource availability and identifying opportunities for surge capacity.
- Screen admission requests to specialty areas for appropriateness and prioritize multiple requests for admissions.
- Provide backup support to Administrative Supervisors and Resource Coordinators to ensure continuity of patient flow.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field.
- Washington Registered Nurse License.
- 3 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting.
