Job Title: Patient Experience Specialist

At CHAS Health, we are dedicated to delivering exceptional patient experiences. As a Patient Experience Specialist, you will play a vital role in improving the overall health of our communities by providing top-notch customer service, managing health records, and coordinating referrals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide excellent customer service as the first point of contact for CHAS Health.
  • Determine the needs of callers and manage calls effectively.
  • Deliver accurate information about CHAS Health services, locations, and providers.
  • Respond to requests for health records, ensuring proper paperwork and payment are in place.
  • Process, store, and retrieve electronic health information, maintaining accurate indexes and retrieval systems.
  • Complete referrals in a timely manner, prioritizing urgency and date.
  • Refer patients to specialists based on insurance company networks.
  • Document patient cases, health information, and referral requests in medical records.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred; some college preferred.
  • Experience with databases, electronic health records, and release of information preferred.
  • Attention to detail, knowledge of HIPAA regulations, and excellent customer service skills required.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment, multitask, and anticipate future needs.
  • Computer skills and valid driver's license required.
Work Environment:

This role requires sitting at a workstation for most of the day, with occasional movement around the facility. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and communicate effectively with patients and staff.
