Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Patient Resources Coordinator to join our team at CHAS Health. In this role, you will play a critical part in improving the overall health of our communities by enrolling, educating patients about CHAS services and community resources, and overseeing the management of patients assigned to or eligible for CHAS managed care contracts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with a diverse patient population, including insured and uninsured patients, to determine eligibility for various health insurance, assistance programs, and community resources.
  • Enroll patients in Medicaid, CHIP, Qualified Health plans, and Qualified Dental plans through the state insurance marketplaces.
  • Acquire a thorough working knowledge of managed care programs, including their value-added benefits and scope of coverage.
  • Educate patients regarding proper utilization of insurance plans and review dental treatment plans to advise patients of insurance coverage and out-of-pocket costs.
  • Participate in outreach programs throughout the community and provide training for staff on current insurance, managed care, and resource-related issues.
  • Track enrollments, managed care conversions, and other activities on a regular basis.
Requirements
  • HS diploma or equivalent preferred; health industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with medical insurance and face-to-face customer/patient service experience required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, basic computer and typing skills, and a commitment to supporting a safe, respectful, equitable, and inclusive environment.
  • Valid drivers' license and insurance required.
