Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Associate Director, Strategic Initiatives to join our team at Johns Hopkins University. This role will provide senior-level management and leadership for the Department of Government, Community & Economic Partnerships (GCE) community benefit project teams and compliance oversight for the Johns Hopkins Health System (JHHS) hospitals in the Maryland Health Services Cost Review Commission (HSCRC) and the IRS Form 990 Schedule H Community Benefit filings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the annual Community Benefit Report filings for the Johns Hopkins Health System (hospitals including direct responsibility for the Maryland HSCRC filings for JHH) which will require an understanding of regulatory requirements/compliance.
  • Develop and create Community Benefit (CB) strategy, outreach, and reporting.
  • Represent JHHS to internal and external stakeholders at the local, state, and national level on CB as well as develop, produce, and distribute CB and Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) related materials.
  • Participate in strategic planning efforts, integrated policy analysis and development, and problem resolution.
  • Collaborate with health system and hospital finance, population health and care coordination departments to implement best practices in community benefit to improve quality of life and reduce health disparities in the community.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or other related field.
  • Five to seven years of related experience.
  • Advanced degree may substitute for some education.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree in Business Administration, Public Health, or another related field.
