Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research and implement advanced computer vision and machine learning techniques to produce high-quality deliverables that meet product requirements.
  • Establish scalable, efficient, and automated processes for extensive data analysis, machine learning model development, model validation, and gap analysis.
  • Explore new machine learning methodologies to foster ongoing scientific progress.
  • Collaborate in a team-oriented environment with fellow scientists, engineers, product managers, and cross-functional teams.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in developing models for business applications.
  • PhD or Master's degree with 4+ years of experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Machine Learning, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, or similar.
  • Experience in areas including algorithms and data structures, parsing, numerical optimization, data mining, parallel and distributed computing, and high-performance computing.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated history of innovation in creating novel algorithms and enhancing state-of-the-art technologies.
  • Experience in prototyping, designing, implementing, and deploying large-scale computer vision and AI applications.
  • Expertise in developing highly optimized computer vision and machine learning algorithms for resource-constrained environments.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Our compensation reflects the labor market across various US geographic regions. The base salary for this position ranges from $136,000/year in our lowest geographic market to $222,200/year in our highest geographic market. Compensation is determined by several factors, including market location, and may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon offers a comprehensive compensation package, which may include equity, sign-on bonuses, and other forms of compensation, along with a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
