Position Overview
The Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) division is in search of a talented and experienced Applied Scientist to contribute to the creation and execution of innovative algorithms and models for supervised fine-tuning and reinforcement learning driven by human feedback, focusing on various modalities including text, images, and videos.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams comprising engineers, product managers, and scientists to tackle intricate challenges in Generative AI.
- Design and implement experiments to assess the efficacy of diverse algorithms and models, iterating rapidly to enhance outcomes.
- Envision the long-term trajectory of Generative AI development and pinpoint new avenues to leverage these technologies for addressing real-world challenges.
- Effectively communicate findings and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through presentations and comprehensive reports.
Basic Qualifications
- PhD or Master’s degree with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Machine Learning, or a related discipline.
- At least 1 year of experience in developing models for practical business applications.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, or Python.
- Familiarity with prominent deep learning frameworks, including MxNet and TensorFlow.
Preferred Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field, emphasizing Generative AI and reinforcement learning.
- Experience in crafting and deploying algorithms and models for supervised fine-tuning and reinforcement learning utilizing human feedback.
- Strong programming skills in Python, along with experience in deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities, with a creative and analytical approach to complex issues.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with patents or publications in prestigious peer-reviewed conferences or journals.

Compensation
Our compensation reflects the labor market across various US regions. The base salary for this role ranges from $136,000 to $222,200, depending on geographic location and individual qualifications. Compensation may also include equity, sign-on bonuses, and a comprehensive benefits package.
