Solvere Technical Group is actively seeking a Systems Support Administrator with a valid Secret clearance to provide essential support for Navy sustainment engineering and integration initiatives.

Key Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.
  • Residence in San Diego County is required.
  • Possession of an Active CompTIA Security + or CCNA Certification (IAT certification preferred) is essential.
  • A valid Secret Clearance is a must.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate integration modifications to the legacy system while minimizing risks associated with technical refresh efforts.
  • Ensure compatibility and interoperability of updated Technical Refresh versions with earlier designated versions.
  • Maintain service continuity and facilitate data exchange with designated external systems, coordinating concurrent changes with interface partners.
  • Provide comprehensive deployment planning, installation verification, and testing to confirm the functionality of each technical solution within the system environment.
  • Adhere to Government standards, regulations, and policies.
  • Deliver software release packages and supporting documentation sufficient for installation and data migration by the existing Government workforce or designated third-party personnel.
  • Implement modularity and open systems architecture enhancements aimed at reducing life-cycle costs.
  • Exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving skills, serving as a resource for others within the organization.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in engineering, computer science, or a related STEM field is required. An Associate's degree coupled with four years of relevant technical experience may substitute for a Bachelor's Degree.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in System Administration is required.

Essential Skills:

  • Ability to cultivate relationships with various stakeholders, including government technical representatives and supporting contractors.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Capability to work independently or collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Proficiency in briefing senior government personnel.

Preferred Skills and Certifications:

  • Prior experience with Navy systems as a SYSADMIN.
  • Experience aboard vessels: NIAPS, CANES, ISNS, TSCE.
  • Experience ashore: NIAPS, RDT&E, CEDC, SRDT&E.
  • Proven experience as a Windows system administrator (2003, 2012, and later versions) is required.
  • Experience managing SQL Server (2005, 2008, 2012, 2016, and later versions) is essential.
  • Experience managing IIS (6.0 and later) is required.
  • Proficiency in writing, debugging, and documenting automation scripts using PowerShell and batch files is necessary.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and documenting solutions for common and unusual problems is essential.
  • Ability to achieve a CSWF IAT II certification level (Cybersecurity Workforce Credentials IAT 2 Windows OS and Security+) is required.

Security Requirements:

  • An active DoD Secret security clearance is required.

Travel Requirements:

  • Occasional travel of up to 5% may be necessary.

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is between $85,257 and $105,257.
