Job Summary:

ELS, Inc. is seeking a skilled Radar Systems Engineer to provide In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA) and Test & Evaluation (T&E) support to the AN/SPQ-9B Radar program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform Engineering Analysis: Conduct assessments, investigations, and evaluations for AN/SPQ-9B Radar aboard Navy ships and laboratories.
  • Support Development and Review: Provide support for the development, review, and update of engineering, logistics, cybersecurity, data analysis, and post-event reports.
  • Develop and Validate Procedures: Develop, update, conduct tests, and validate software/hardware procedures, processes, and technical documents used by ISEAs and shipboard personnel.
  • Provide Test Support: Provide test support for Developmental Test (DT), Operational Test (OT), and Combat Systems Ships Qualification and Test (CSSQT); Self-Defense Test Ship and/or Land-Based Test Site test events.
  • Evaluate and Resolve Fleet Problems: Evaluate performance specifically related to AN/SPQ-9B software/hardware reliability, operation, performance, and/or maintainability problems, as well as proposed design changes, advanced development changes, or system improvements.
  • Prepare and Update Technical Documentation: Prepare, modify, review, and update technical documentation for technical accuracy and adequacy for all phases of lifecycle support.
  • Meet Cybersecurity Requirements: Perform software installation and maintain qualifications required for NSWC PHD Cybersecurity Workforce.
Requirements:
  • US Citizenship: Must be a US citizen.
  • Secret Clearance: Must have a Secret clearance (to start).
  • Experience: 5 years as a Navy Radar Technician for AN/SPQ-9B Radar (NEC V40A) or other Navy Radar Systems.
  • Shipboard Experience: 4 years of shipboard experience.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills in briefing at all levels of the organization and ability to work with and foster a strong team environment.
  • Analytical Skills: Analytical skills to effectively track, manage, and status multiple technical issues.
  • Computer Skills: Strong Microsoft Office Suites computer skills.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Technical Degree: Technical degree.
  • Relevant Certifications: Relevant certifications.
  • Relevant Experience: Preferred years of relevant experience.
