Join Our Team as a Military Training Specialist

Are you ready to make a significant impact in the field of military training? The Performance and Readiness Health Solutions Business Unit is looking for a dedicated Military Training Specialist to support the Naval Center for Combat & Operational Stress Control (NCCOSC) program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a subject matter expert in Resilience Programs and Combat and Operational Stress Control (COSC).
  • Oversee training delivery and course management.
  • Collaborate directly with military units to implement Navy Resilience and Toughness programs.
  • Conduct both individualized and group training sessions.
  • Track and report post-training student data to support program evaluation.
  • Develop and maintain effective training materials and curriculum.
  • Engage in public speaking and outreach initiatives related to resilience and toughness programs.
  • Support general project development and management efforts.
  • Stay updated on literature related to resilience and COSC missions.
  • Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Prior military experience with proven leadership skills is essential; Navy experience is preferred.
  • Experience in facilitating military training courses is necessary.
  • Completion of Basic Instructor Training (BIT), Journeyman Instructor Training (JIT), or Navy Instructor Training Course (NITC) is preferred.
  • Familiarity with combat and operational stress control concepts is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to develop positive relationships with military commands and health providers.
  • Willingness to travel internationally to support fleet training requirements.
  • Must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in health sciences or administration.
  • Minimum of eight years of Navy service is preferred.
  • Master Training Specialist (MTS) certification with training experience is advantageous.
  • Experience in Navy Operational Stress Control and psychological health is preferred.
