Role Summary:We are currently in search of experienced Navy Radar Systems Specialists to deliver In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA) and Test & Evaluation (T&E) assistance for the AN/SPQ-9B Radar program. This role encompasses hardware and software engineering, troubleshooting, installation and modernization, system integration, testing, data collection and analysis, as well as the review and enhancement of specifications and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct engineering assessments, analyses, investigations, and evaluations for the AN/SPQ-9B Radar systems aboard Navy vessels and in laboratory settings.
- Support the creation, review, and revision of engineering, logistics, cybersecurity, data analysis, and post-event documentation.
- Develop, update, and validate software and hardware procedures, processes, and technical documents (including drawings, technical manuals, and Maintenance Requirement Cards) utilized by ISEAs and shipboard personnel for assessments, T&E events, installations, and Fleet Tech Assists.
- Provide testing support for Developmental Tests (DT), Operational Tests (OT), and Combat Systems Ships Qualification and Test (CSSQT) events, including Self-Defense Test Ship and/or Land-Based Test Site activities.
- Evaluate fleet issues by reviewing reported problems, researching the MFOM Readiness Data Base, and formulating solutions while assessing corrective actions.
- Analyze performance related to AN/SPQ-9B software and hardware reliability, operational efficiency, performance, and maintainability challenges, as well as proposed design modifications and system enhancements.
- Prepare, modify, and review technical documentation to ensure accuracy and adequacy throughout all lifecycle support phases.
- Execute software installations and maintain necessary qualifications for cybersecurity roles as required by NSWC PHD.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Possess a Secret clearance (to start).
- Five years of experience as a Navy Radar Technician for AN/SPQ-9B Radar (NEC V40A) or other Navy Radar Systems.
- Four years of shipboard experience.
- Strong communication skills for effective briefings at all organizational levels and the ability to cultivate a robust team environment.
- Analytical skills to efficiently track, manage, and report on multiple technical issues.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Technical degree.
- Relevant certifications.
- Additional years of pertinent experience.
