Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Payroll Manager to oversee payroll functions for a diverse range of clients. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth execution of payroll processes and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee payroll processing for various clients, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Manage salary distributions, tax withholdings, and employee benefits across multiple accounts.
  • Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local payroll regulations and best practices.
  • Engage with clients to collect payroll data and address any inquiries efficiently.
  • Assist clients during open enrollment periods and manage other HR-related requests.
  • Establish new payroll tax accounts for employers as mandated by different jurisdictions.
  • Maintain compliance with payroll laws and manage tax filings.
  • Implement and optimize payroll systems for enhanced efficiency.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and records.
  • Safeguard client confidentiality and protect payroll operations.
  • Manage special payroll projects and initiatives as they arise.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years in payroll management and administration.
  • Prior experience in a supervisory role is advantageous.
  • Strong client service focus with exceptional communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational abilities with a keen eye for detail.
  • Robust analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Proficient in payroll software, including ADP, Gusto, Trinet, and Paycom.
  • Familiarity with payroll tax laws and compliance standards.
  • Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Experience in a hybrid work setting, with a requirement for onsite presence.
