Position Overview: As the IT Director, you will spearhead all technology-related initiatives within our organization. Initially, you will serve as the primary contributor, overseeing multiple IT projects that are vital to our expansion and success. This position presents a unique opportunity to establish a high-performing IT department, lead the execution of essential IT processes, and ensure that our technology strategy is in alignment with our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Network Connectivity: Architect, implement, and sustain dependable and secure network connectivity across all remote teams, facilitating seamless communication and collaboration. Ensure secure, traceable account management processes and effective access management controls.
  • Device Management: Supervise the complete lifecycle of company devices, from acquisition to deployment, management, and decommissioning, ensuring optimal performance and security. Standardize endpoint specifications and operating system images for security and ease of maintenance.
  • Cloud Solutions Management: Oversee the selection, deployment, and optimization of cloud-based business systems that enhance operational efficiency and support our growth objectives. Identify and mitigate shadow IT issues, ensuring that all technology utilized within the organization is secure, compliant, and aligns with our IT strategy.
  • Security and Patch Management: Implement robust endpoint security measures, including patch management processes, to safeguard our remote workforce and data assets. Oversee the commissioning and operations of centralized antivirus, anti-malware, mobile device management, and data loss prevention solutions.
  • IT Support Services: Establish and lead a responsive IT support function that delivers exceptional assistance to all employees, ensuring swift resolution of technical issues and a positive user experience.
  • Vendor Relations: Identify, assess, and manage relationships with key technology vendors and service providers to ensure optimal value and performance for the organization.
  • Systems Integration: Lead initiatives to integrate various systems and platforms within the organization, ensuring seamless data flow and interoperability between business-critical applications.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in an IT leadership capacity, ideally within a startup or fast-paced environment, with a hands-on approach to execution.
  • Strong technical proficiency in network connectivity, device management, cloud-based systems, security, and IT support management.
  • Experience with AI-driven process enhancements and automation to drive efficiency and business value.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple competing projects, focusing on delivering maximum value to the business in the shortest timeframe.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the capability to clearly convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a strong orientation toward IT as a business enabler.
  • Experience in building and leading high-performing IT teams, with an emphasis on mentoring and developing talent.
  • Comfortable working in a fully remote environment, with the discipline and self-motivation to excel.
