Position Overview:

The Operations Team at Access Intelligence is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee a range of our large-scale events across various dynamic brands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Aerospace and Healthcare events, collaborating with numerous partners and vendors, including venues, A/V production, food and beverage, security, graphic designers, promotional item suppliers, general service contractors, registration vendors, photographers, temporary staffing, and florists.
  • Act as a representative for the events' best interests, ensuring alignment across multiple brands within Access Intelligence.
  • Manage sponsor fulfillment for SATELLITE, which involves coordination with over 70 sponsoring and supporting companies.
  • Exhibit strong logistical management skills, effective negotiation abilities, and maintain a stringent budget while analyzing spending trends for show management and its clientele.

Role Impact:

While not directly responsible for sales, the Operations Manager plays a vital role in fulfilling sponsorship agreements, managing exhibit booths, and enhancing the attendee experience. This position is crucial for bringing the brand to life at events and upholding the high standards expected by our customers and stakeholders.

Event Execution:

The Operations Manager is ultimately accountable for the successful execution of events from the pre-planning phase to on-site management. Responsibilities encompass logistics and operational oversight of all events, contract negotiations, venue research, RFP management, sponsorship fulfillment, and client interactions regarding their event portfolios.

Qualifications:

  • Willingness to travel to Access Intelligence events as well as competitor events within the industry.
  • A four-year degree in business management or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in tradeshow operations.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • A collaborative team player, capable of managing projects that require input from multiple sources, with the ability to multitask across various events or projects.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook; experience with HTML, database management software, and Expocad is preferred.
  • Familiarity with IAEE (International Association of Exhibits and Events) guidelines and the ability to communicate and enforce these guidelines with exhibiting companies.
  • CEM (Certified Exhibit Manager) designation is highly desirable.
