Role Summary

The Clinical Dietitian will play a vital role in the development and execution of cardiopulmonary programs, focusing on strategies to enhance client engagement and market presence in nutrition services.

This position is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of clinical care and operational efficiency, while integrating programs within the Bon Secours system.

Utilizing the nutritional care process, the incumbent will screen, assess, plan, and deliver nutritional care and education to the patient populations served.

Additionally, the role involves creating and implementing community nutrition education initiatives tailored to specific target markets, as well as developing the nutritional aspects of region-specific sports performance and fitness programs.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A degree from an accredited program in Clinical Nutrition or Dietetics recognized by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
  • Completion of an internship accredited by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
  • Eligibility for Registered Dietitian status.
  • Preferred experience in Cardiac Nutrition and Wellness.
  • 1-2 years of experience in outpatient nutrition or a Master's degree.
Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and manage nutrition programs that align with client relationships and satisfaction for patient care.
  • Engage in marketing efforts for individual and regional nutrition services, collaborating with marketing teams as necessary.
  • Oversee nutrition care for clients, ensuring satisfaction and retention.
  • Promote food and nutrition programs while creating educational resources in accordance with Bon Secours standards.
  • Deliver education and outreach to community organizations regarding nutrition-related topics and program growth.
  • Provide Medical Nutrition Therapy for patients referred by physicians, including screening, assessment, intervention, and follow-up care.
  • Document and submit charges through the electronic medical records system as required.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and Bon Secours policies.
  • Participate in marketing initiatives targeting local physicians for counseling and sports performance opportunities.

This position may involve facilitating assessments, counseling, education, and developing individualized plans for patients with dietary and weight-related concerns, including nutrition for optimal cardiac health.
