Role Summary
This PRN position is designed to provide coverage across multiple locations, primarily focusing on outpatient cardiac rehabilitation. The expected commitment is approximately 10 hours per week, with opportunities for additional hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate in the development and execution of cardiopulmonary nutrition programs aimed at increasing client engagement and market presence.
- Deliver high-quality clinical care while ensuring operational efficiency and program integration within the Bon Secours framework.
- Utilize the nutritional care process to screen, assess, plan, and implement nutritional care and education for various patient demographics.
- Create and lead community nutritional education initiatives tailored to specific target groups.
- Develop and manage the nutritional aspects of regional sports performance and fitness programs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited program in Clinical Nutrition or Dietetics recognized by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
- Completion of an internship accredited by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
- Eligibility for Registered Dietitian status.
- Preferred experience in Cardiac Nutrition and Wellness, with 1-2 years in outpatient nutrition or a Master's degree.
Essential Functions
- Design and oversee nutrition programs that align with client relationships and satisfaction metrics.
- Engage in marketing efforts for individual and regional nutrition services, collaborating with marketing teams as necessary.
- Ensure client satisfaction and retention through effective nutrition care management.
- Promote food and nutrition initiatives while developing educational resources in accordance with Bon Secours standards.
- Provide education and outreach to community partners regarding nutrition-related topics and program growth opportunities.
- Deliver Medical Nutrition Therapy for patients referred by physicians, including comprehensive screening, assessment, intervention, and follow-up care.
Compliance and Collaboration
- Maintain adherence to all relevant federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Bon Secours policies.
- Participate in local marketing initiatives targeting physicians to promote counseling and sports performance opportunities.
