AIMS Locum Tenens LLC is in search of a skilled Dietitian to deliver specialized nutritional care and guidance to pediatric patients in an outpatient setting. The Dietitian will serve as a crucial link between the Nutrition Management Department and young patients, assessing nutritional requirements, formulating personalized dietary strategies, and collaborating with the healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities- Clinical Services: Deliver nutritional services as per the clinical privileges assigned by the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) Director.
- Patient Liaison: Facilitate effective communication between the Nutrition Management Department and pediatric patients to ensure optimal care coordination.
- Nutritional Assessment: Gather and evaluate relevant nutritional data, including clinical symptoms and dietary history, to conduct thorough assessments for pediatric patients.
- Dietary Planning: Create tailored dietary plans based on a comprehensive understanding of disease processes and patient nutritional status.
- Education and Training: Provide education to medical residents, interns, and dietetic students on pediatric nutritional management and dietary counseling.
- Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Participate in multidisciplinary teams, working alongside physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Research Engagement: Involve in applied nutritional research and clinical studies, contributing to data collection and analysis.
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Dietetics or Nutrition from an accredited institution.
- Certification: Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credentials from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
- Experience: At least two years of experience in pediatric nutrition, ideally in an outpatient context.
- Licensure: Valid and unrestricted license to practice dietetics in any U.S. jurisdiction.
- Extensive knowledge of pediatric dietary needs.
- Strong communication skills for effective patient counseling.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
