Job Overview

AIMS Locum Tenens LLC is seeking a dedicated and qualified Dietitian to deliver specialized nutritional care and guidance to pediatric patients in an outpatient setting. The successful candidate will serve as a crucial link between the Nutrition Management Department and young patients, assessing their nutritional requirements, crafting personalized dietary plans, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clinical Responsibilities: Deliver services in accordance with the clinical privileges assigned by the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) Director.
  • Patient Liaison: Facilitate effective communication between the Nutrition Management Department and pediatric patients to enhance care coordination.
  • Nutritional Assessment: Gather and evaluate relevant nutritional data, including medication, clinical symptoms, and dietary history, to perform comprehensive assessments for pediatric patients.
  • Dietary Planning: Develop tailored dietary plans that consider disease etiology, nutrient metabolism, and individual patient needs.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients and caregivers on dietary management, ensuring understanding and compliance with nutritional guidelines.
  • Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Collaborate with a diverse team of healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive treatment plans that include nutritional care.
  • Research and Development: Participate in clinical studies and research initiatives aimed at advancing pediatric nutritional practices.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Dietetics or Nutrition from an accredited institution.
  • Certification: Must hold the Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
  • Experience: A minimum of two years of experience in pediatric nutrition, preferably in an outpatient context.
  • Licensure: Must possess an active and unrestricted license to practice dietetics in any U.S. jurisdiction.
Skills and Competencies
  • In-depth knowledge of pediatric nutritional needs and dietary management.
  • Strong communication skills for effective patient counseling and professional education.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Proficiency in evaluating and adjusting dietary plans to meet complex nutritional requirements.
