Position Details:

  • Location: Gaithersburg, MD
  • Employment Type: Full-Time; Exempt
  • Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 annually, commensurate with experience
  • Core Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM; may require occasional evenings or weekends
  • Travel Requirements: Up to 60% travel expected

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments to identify the distinct needs and objectives of children, adolescents, and their families in crisis.
  • Design treatment plans by coordinating services, scheduling appointments, and arranging necessary resources.
  • Identify and utilize community resources, including educational, employment, housing, healthcare, and counseling services, to assist clients in achieving their goals.
  • Establish collaborations with local organizations to broaden the available resources for youth clients.
  • Advocate for clients to ensure they receive the necessary services and support.
  • Deliver support services directly to clients in their homes, schools, or community settings.
  • Work alongside Crisis Intervention teams to assist youth facing emergencies or significant challenges.
  • Create safety plans and connect clients with immediate support and interventions as required.
  • Facilitate workshops and individual sessions to empower clients with essential life skills, including budgeting, job readiness, and effective communication.
  • Provide ongoing care and support services for up to six months in conjunction with their therapy.
  • Monitor and document clients' progress towards their established goals and outcomes.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness and identify areas for enhancement through data analysis and client feedback.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and maintain high standards of documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
  • Experience working with youth populations is preferred.
  • Familiarity with community resources and social service agencies.
  • Valid Driver's License and dependable transportation.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
  • Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
  • Demonstrated empathy, patience, and cultural sensitivity when working with diverse populations.
  • Flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of clients and program requirements.

Working Conditions:

  • Occasional evening or weekend hours may be necessary to accommodate client needs.
  • Work may occur in various settings, including offices, client homes, schools, or community centers.
  • Local travel may be required to meet with clients or attend meetings.
