Position Details:
- Location: Gaithersburg, MD
- Employment Status: Full-Time; Exempt
- Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 annually, commensurate with experience
- Office Hours: Core hours from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening or weekend commitments.
- Travel Requirements: Up to 60% travel may be necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough needs assessments to determine the specific requirements and objectives of children, adolescents, and their families in distress.
- Design treatment plans by organizing schedules, coordinating services, and arranging necessary resources, including transportation.
- Identify and utilize community resources, such as educational, employment, safe housing, healthcare, and counseling services, to assist clients in reaching their goals.
- Forge partnerships with local organizations and agencies to broaden the spectrum of resources available for youth clients.
- Advocate for clients to ensure they receive suitable services and support.
- Deliver support services directly to clients in their homes, schools, or community settings.
- Collaborate with Crisis Intervention teams to assist youth facing emergencies or significant risk factors.
- Develop safety plans and connect clients with immediate assistance and necessary interventions.
- Facilitate workshops and individual sessions to empower clients with essential life skills such as budgeting, job readiness, and conflict resolution.
- Provide ongoing care and support services in conjunction with therapy for a duration of up to six months.
- Monitor clients' progress towards their care plan goals and evaluate outcomes achieved.
- Assess program effectiveness and identify improvement areas through data analysis and client feedback.
- Ensure adherence to CARF/COMAR/HIPAA/State regulations and maintain EMR documentation standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
- Experience working with youth populations is preferred.
- Familiarity with local community resources and social service agencies.
- Valid Driver's License and dependable transportation.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while meeting deadlines.
- Strong active listening, communication, and documentation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service abilities.
- Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
- Demonstrated empathy, patience, and cultural sensitivity when working with diverse populations.
- Flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of clients and program requirements.
Working Conditions:
- May require occasional evening or weekend hours to accommodate client needs.
- Work settings may include office environments, client residences, schools, or community centers.
- Local travel may be necessary to meet with clients or attend meetings.
- Ability to transport oneself and clients to various locations is essential.
