Position Overview:
We are seeking a Utility Operator who will play a crucial role in supporting departmental activities. This position requires individuals to operate effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision, engaging regularly with fellow employees, supervisors, and other personnel. Utility Operators will be expected to fill in at various stations within their department as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of the facility, including material handling and equipment operation.
  • Diagnose and resolve operational issues as they arise.
  • Conduct Operator Preventive Maintenance (OPM's) as scheduled.
  • Assist in training new and existing employees on assembly and machine operations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within the department, contributing positively as a team member.
  • Be proficient in all departmental roles, including assembly and production equipment, ensuring quality checks are performed.
  • Lead changeovers for complete lines or sections as required.
  • Manage all necessary documentation, including production reports and labor transactions, while supporting updates for team meetings.
  • Conduct quality checks and testing within the department.
  • Obtain certification for operating any powered mobile equipment.
  • Perform repairs on products typically handled by other personnel.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
