Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Utility Operator who will play a crucial role in supporting daily operations within the department. This position requires individuals to perform effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision while interacting regularly with team members, supervisors, and other personnel. The Utility Operator will be expected to fill in at various stations as needed, ensuring seamless operations throughout the plant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day plant operations, including material handling and equipment operation.
  • Diagnose and resolve operational issues as they arise.
  • Conduct Operator Preventive Maintenance (OPM's) as required.
  • Assist in training new employees and coaching existing staff on assembly and machine operations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within the department, fostering a positive team environment.
  • Capable of performing all jobs within the department, including assembly and production equipment tasks.
  • Lead changeovers for complete lines or sections as necessary.
  • Manage associated paperwork, including production reports and labor transactions, and contribute to huddle meetings.
  • Ensure all quality checks and testing are completed within the department.
  • Obtain certification for operating powered mobile equipment.
  • Possess skills to repair products typically handled by other personnel.
Basic Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Two years of experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
